A 24% average growth per year over the past three years has placed RCS Doors at the top of its field. Our customer retention rate gives us confidence that our passion and commitment for manufacturing the best product on the market is being conveyed and acknowledged by our trade customers.
Beside our increased growth is a closer focus on our environmental responsibilities. We are increasing our attention towards not only our own environmental reach, but also that of our customers, by manufacturing a range of products that improve heat retention and reduce energy costs. Earlier this year we began printing all sales collateral on fully recycled paper and have increased efforts to promote a recycle savvy office environment.
At RCS, we commit to contributing towards industry wide issues such as the shortage of skilled engineers. The 2017 Engineering UK: The state of engineering report shows positive signs in comparison to recent years, but there continues to be real concerns.
A recommendation set out in the report is ‘to draw on talent already in the workforce: increase skills and improve retention’. This mirrors our involvement with dhf (Door and Hardware Federation), the trade association for industrial and garage doors – who promote best practice and safety through publications and training.
The Federation is a not-for-profit trade association that supports its members by providing the latest information regarding standards and regulations. Its mission is to raise the standards in the industry and RCS Doors has been a part of dhf for almost a decade. Bob Perry, dhf CEO commented, ‘RCS has embraced membership completely by ensuring that its products are fully compliant and in line with the latest legislation.’ He added, ‘dhf is serious about fighting non-compliance in the marketplace and works closely with organisations to ensure non-compliance becomes a thing of the past.’
The current uncertainty surrounding Brexit is unavoidable. We feared the vote to leave would lead to a decline in business, but in fact the reverse has happened. It is our belief that Brexit may be beneficial to the manufacturing industry. We see a very real opportunity to expand into the new world marketplace with a lifting of European restrictions, and with worldwide companies looking to capitalise on a weak pound and strong British standards. RCS adheres to current CE marking legislation and whether or not the validity of such conformities diminish post-Brexit, we will continue to work to these standards and beyond.
RCS are constantly on the lookout for talented individuals to join our team. We draw on talent in our workforce, increasing skills and improving retention, so once you’re in there is plenty of room for progression.
We offer work placements and graduate opportunities of different kinds in an array of different departments including; sales, marketing, logistics, customer services, order processing, technical, accounting, manufacturing and installing.
