ISO 9001:2015 Accredited

We, last week received certification confirming the approval of our quality management system against the requirements for ISO 9001:2015. The 2015 revision is the most recent since 2008; which we were accredited to. Why a revision? – ‘in a world of ever changing economic, technological and quality challenges, companies need to constantly transform themselves to stay ahead’.

ISO 9001:2015’s restructuring objectives include enhancing an organization’s ability to satisfy its customers, a move from just being ‘committed’ to demonstrate ‘leadership’, proactively identify and manage risks, and provide due consideration to the needs and expectations of all relevant interested parties.

“A strong ethos towards expansion but with control” to comply with our ‘dramatically improved sales’ – written in our visit form. Within current expansion plans is the need for new, more efficient machines which is in the process of being satisfied, with the imminent arrival from China of a 77mm foam-filled lath rolling mill. A resultant change to the workshop layout is forced and aided by scheduled completion of a mezzanine floor for new offices; increasing our manufacturing facility by 800m².

RCS’ ‘QMS is well thought-out, robust and operational’ – summary within our visit form.
